INVITATION FOR PRE-QUALIFICATION  FOR THE EXECUTION OF 2009 CAPITAL PROJECTS.

The Tenders Board of National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu invites interested and reputable Contractors and Suppliers with relevant experience and good track record for the pre-qualification  for the following;

Lot   1.  Furnishing and Equipping the Spinal Injury Ward.

Lot  2.  Supply and installation of Theatre/ ICU Equipment.

Lot  3.  Supply and installation of Equipment in the Regional Burns centre.

Lot  4.  Supply and Installation Furniture and Equipment for the Conference Hall, Lecture Halls, Auditorium and Demonstration Room.

Lot  5.  Renovation of Medical wards and Offices.

PRE-QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

In order to be considered for pre-qualification, bidders must submit the following

i. Certificate of Registration with Corporate Affairs Commission

ii. Evidence of current Tax Clearance

iii.Company Audited Account for the last 3 years.

iv.VAT Registration Certificate

v.Evidence of experience with similar jobs in the last three years. This should include the Scope/volume of work and the amount, which should be verifiable.

vi.Evidence of financial capability to handle the job and Bank support.

vii.Name and address of Bankers.

viii.Company Profile with names and qualifications of Key Personnel.

ix. Evidence of availability of spare parts.

x.  Evidence of maintenance capability and after sales service for at least 5 years from the date of commissioning of Equipment (relevant for supply and installation of Equipment- note ix & x).

xi. Evidence of registration of Staff of the Company under the National Pension Scheme.

METHOD OF TENDER

Tenders Bid Documents are to be obtained from the Procurement unit of the Administration Department/Supply Department on presentation of evidence of payment of N20, 000 for each Project, to the Accounts Department of the Hospital.

Two copies of completed Pre-qualification Documents spiral bound and labeled “Pre-qualification for … (Name of project) and addressed to;

The Medical Director, National Orthopaedic Hospital, Enugu. The applications should be inserted in the Tender Box in the Administration Department, before the expiry of this advertisement.

PLEASE NOTE

Only Pre-qualified Contractors will be invited to bid.

Opening of Pre-qualification will be done in presence of Bidders or their Representatives who chose to attend at the hospital’s Boardroom on 14th July, 2009 by 12.30pm.  NGOs, Relevant Professional Associations are invited to witness the pre-qualification opening.

INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL ADVERTISEMENT

ADMISSION INTO FULL TIME DIPLOMA COURSE IN POST BASIC:

(1)  School of Orthopaedic Nursing

(2) School of Burns/Plastic Nursing

FOR 2009/2010 SESSION

Applications are invited from suitable qualified candidates for admission into any of the above named schools for any of the Post Basic Nursing Diploma Programmes.

  REQUIREMENTS: Applicant must:

(1) Posses the West African School Certificate/GCE/NECO or their acceptable  equivalent with Credits in five (5) subjects at one or two sittings including English Language and Mathematics, and at least two (2) Science subjects viz: Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

(2) Be a registered nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria.

(3) Have at least 1-2 years post qualification experience in the clinical area.

(4) Show evidence of sponsorship/release throughout the period of training by an institution or voluntary agencies.

(5) Evidence of physical fitness.

METHOD OF APPLICATIONS

Application forms are obtainable from the co-ordinator of each school on presentation of receipt for payment of non-refundable fee of five thousand naira only (N5,000.00). Forms are available at the schools now.

DURATION OF THE Course

The duration of the course is Twelve (12) Calendar months comprising two (2) Semesters.

Application forms duly completed together with photocopies of relevant credentials including valid Nursing License should be forwarded to the course co-ordinator of the  programme of choice not later than  30th June 2009.

TEST AND SELECTION INTERVIEW

Written  test and oral interviews will be conducted at the Post Basic Nursing Schools  as follows:

-     Orthopaedic Nursing  7th  - 8th July 2009

-     Burns/Plastic Nursing 29th – 30th July 2009
